Snowden Fine Ads

In the mid nineties, we had a very tiny and lovely studio right in the heart of Carnaby St in Soho, Central London. It was on a corner and the view from the wrap around windows was fantastic. So much to see around there and a great area to go to every day. We made a number of ads there and worked with many talented artists.  These are some of them.

Hector the Tax Inspector. Certainly our most widely seen campaign for Britain’s Inland Revenue to introduce a new tax system that was meant to be easier, clearer and simpler.  Well, that’s what the ads said!  Hector was originally voiced by Sir Alec Guiness. He refers to the session in his autobiography. When he recorded it, he  was quite old, but brilliant and so easy to direct. Click on images to watch them.

Fun ad we did for a boardgame called Bedlam

Smarties ad we did which combined our flat animation with CGI. Very early use of CGI. Click image above to see it.

Title sequence for Spitting Image TV series. Animated beautifully by Barry Baker and Peter Western. Click image to see it.

Series of ads for Swankies Fish featuring farm animals nervously extolling the virtues of a pescatarian diet. Featured Alison voicing a chicken as well as animation producer Jill Purdum as a posh cow.
